Alexa Rank or Page Rank ?

For my website, which is more important - Alexa or Page rank ?

For any website Alexa and Page Rank both are important.
Page Rank shows authority of a webpage in Google.
And Alexa rank denotes global traffic rank of a webpage.

Neither. Traffic is the metric most people are chasing and these metrics are not reliable measures of your traffic or your competitor's.

PR does not measure traffic, it is a valuation of inbound links. Alexa ranks sites by traffic but does not include all sites since it is an opt in metric and most sites don't participate.

I would say Alexa in the end is more important. Anything under 100,000 is considered Good and doesn't matter what the PR is. But a Page Rank of 2 or higher is considered Good. So an Alexa of 50,000 and PR0 would raise questions, but 150,000 and PR2 would be worth looking at.

You can get your "accurate" traffic information through your host...by using the available software...

At the risk of being redundant.....Alexa rank can be easily manipulated and in neither accurate nor valuable..

Unless you are bragging to someone who does not know any better....

Alexa rank is NOT accurate...ever.....only about 5% of the sites on the net have the bar....
You can buy traffic to improve Alexa....no value....

PR is only one of 200 factors that Google uses for SERPs....
Not really worth the effort...

Google now don't care about PR. So..there is nothing to do with PR anymore. If you work for a client, you can talk more on PR. BTW..regarding Alexa..I accept Jim.

High pr is not guaranteed for high traffic. so don't believe that page rank is more important for any website.

Well if a website had an Alexa ranking of 50,000 with 0 Page Rank then how is that possible? If a website has an alexa ranking of 3.5 million but a Page Rank 6 then that is a good sign. A Page Rank 6 with an Alexa of 5000 would be really, really, really good.

Alexa rank is just to figure out how good traffic is coming to your website. The main thing that matters is a page rank. So look for improving your website's page rank.
