Triple X

There seems to be a lack of discussion on the SEO of .XXX domains here... there were discussions I found on the web that the govnt and other organizations, safe search, no Bing, etc. would make .XXX sites not the most desirable for SEO and business purposes. But some still believe that domain extensions dont matter at all. I'm thinking, whoever is IN THE MARKET for these XXX domains, they will find them, and they are the only clientele that matters... I mean, obviously we dont want kids from school or government computers on these sites... so if u find a great keyword term only in this domain and is adult related, isnt it the best option for SEO?

That's a very interesting point! I agree; whoever wants to find the stuff on those domains will find it. But, from a SEO point of view (whether domain extensions matter or not), I'd really like to find out too.

These porn sites should be banned according to the SEO rules by the different search engines webmasters.

That is because our goal is to be a family friendly forum and most people seem unable to discuss the topic and meet those objectives.

Thus far this thread seems to have managed that so congratulations to all posters to date.

Why should they be banned? I agree that we would never want minors to come across these sites, but isn't that what Safe Searching and Parental Controls are for?

There is a huge, healthy market out there - and no one says it would have to be illegal - for these sites and the content that they would post.

Because the owner and Admin of this forum said so my friend. Any more questions?

Allow me to add a parable for your consideration. The web is like an ocean. The owners and Admin are cruising in big yachts, My own boat though somewhat smaller is entirely sea worthy. You my friend are in a small row boat.

Are you sure you want make waves?

I didn't mean there should be more discussions of these sites on this forum - there, I totally agree with you.

I also do not understand how your parable comes close to what I'm saying about web pages with the domains we speak of. I imagine you misrepresented what I wanted to say.

Such sites should be allowed only particular domain types such as .xxx; All other types should not be included in SEO by all search engines.

I surely did. I got the impression (apparently mistaken) that you were being critical of the V7n family friendly policy. This is one of a very few threads on the subject where everyone has behaved and that is the only reason why it hasn't been locked.
