The Balance Between Quality and Quantity of Content

Quality posts are essential if you want to build up your reputation over the long term. But quantity is important to keep search engines happy. It's difficult to do both unless you're unusually prolific. How do you look at this and how do you manage to please both your visitors and search engines without making your website your full time job?

Good question. I think quality should always be the primary focus. SEO is important, but generally you want return visitors. Without quality content you'll never keep them coming back.

Plus as search engines get better at their job they'll recognize quality content. If content is too repetitive it drops lower in the search results. Also, if you want more natural inbound links you'll need quality content to link to.

Focus first on the visitors. Think less about SEO and it'll come naturally.

Quality is very important. If your site gives quality content to visitors, then it helps in converting visitors to customers. When your visitor finds quality content in first visit they will stick to your site. Search engines also consider quality of content. If your content is repetitive then your site drops in search result. So it is important to maintain quality content.

Content. Period.

Of course, this doesn't mean that you should start putting up content every 6 months, though.

Keep it balanced, but lean more to the content side.

This is because sooner, or later, quality content WOULD be the new SEO strategy, not quantity.

You can learn about it more at this thread. http://www.v7n.com/forums/seo-forum/...ng-ground.html
