How many links should i build each week?

I am new to this whole back-linking stuff and am looking for some advice as to how many back-links i should build each week without it destroying my Google page rank straight away. Also if any one has any suggestions of where to build them.

Thanks

It depends on the size of the website too. Larger websites can have lots of backlinks but if a 5 page website will have thousands of links then it will look unnatural to Google.

However, you can build around 30 links for an average website each day.

I am also in doubt regarding how many links can we build each day or per week. I think 30 links should be ok in my view.

There's no hard and fast rule for the number of links you can build on a daily basis but you've got to make your link profile look as natural as possilbe and apply a bit of common sense when link building.

For instance, a keyword that only gets 300 searches per month isn't going to attract huge numbers of links / likes / +1's / tweets etc. over a short period of time NATURALLY. If you go off and start building 30 links a day, every day for months and/or buying up +1 gigs from Fiverr, then eventually you're going to end up on big G's radar - you don't want that!

In order to help build a good solid link profile it's also important that your link building remains someway consistant and not sporadic or "trend like". Take links about the Olympics that would have been built by the thousand over the past few months, these will be dying down now at a huge rate - you don't want your site to look like it's a piece of passing news that's of interest today and not tomorrow.

Also remember that just because you build 1 link / 10 links / 50 links today that Google is going to index all of them immediately. After all, it could be days / weeks / months before your links are indexed.

I would suggest less than that :- maybe 300 - 400 links a month. But remember it's quality, not quantity that counts

After Google Penguin Update, getting more links is harmful your website. So keep distance for getting back links and also get only good quality links for your website.

Don't build links, create link bait to acquire them organically. This is what Google loves.

If your site is new, then build your links slowly. 3 to 5 links per day, also make sure that your links are from sources relavent to your websites, subject matter.

Blasting lots and lots links to your site is not a good idea.

Back link building is not depends on number of links per day. its depends on quality. Prefer to give page and domain authority on your back link building strategy. Some times you get all keywords get placed in Google top 10 in do days. Give priority to all possible OFF Page activities with fresh content.

A bunch of low quality links, depending on the site and page within the site.

Where are you guys getting these numbers from? Please provide a source from a respected author.

This is the best idea so far:

My :
1. Write content that ranks when the topic is searched for.

2. Ranking is not enough, you have to provide good content which leads to...

3. Natural (organic) links. People link to your articles/pages/posts because they like what you wrote. Natural links are the best kind of link. People are spreading the word for you without any strings attached.
