Links Page has higher PR than Index

Okay so i've only just really started getting backlinks to my site and my index has a PR of 2. The links page however has a PR of 3 - all backlinks I have achieved so far all point to the index page (which I thought would lead to the index getting a higher PR).

Both pages have about the same amount of links in them (although the index page has no external links) - anyone know if there a logical reason for this?

Its because the last PR update that occured in April, there are many stories of people getting weird PR on sub pages and a low PR on the home page of their sites :p, you're not alone!

Perhaps you'll get some better (and correct) results on the next pagerank update in 2weeks > 1 month from now!

Same happenned with my resource pages.. a full 1 PR higher than my main index page..

I've been seeing a lot of this to. Some PR2's on the homepages with internal pages being PR6.

Makes me wonder if it's because of the lack of content on homepages?

well there is one more thing here that you should look in to consideration... use a permanent redirect... 301 to redirect www.domain.com to domain.com this has some issue with the duplicate content and i believe the pr too... as both these domains are read separately by the search engines... so they may give pr 2 to both these domain where it should have given pr4 to your www.domain.com ...
