Great article about internal linking, makes perfect sense. A true gem. I didn't consider the link distribution weight until now. I've been linking to FAQS, TOS, Security policies from sitewide footer links. I've got to go back with that in mind and redo the internal link structure.
One question I have is this: Let's say I have a site >mysiteurl.com and in it I use prefix >http:
www.mysiteurl.com/ for internal links.. to ease the pain of having to modify the prefix on variable deep folders throughout the site.
Do the search engines consider it an external link or do they recognize them as an internal link (from within the same url)??
