Alright, I'll say hi.
so I kind of joined a while ago but didn't post a thread because I wasn't sure if I was going to stick around, but it seems as though I have, so I decided to post a topic here.
I'm spacefem. I like studying web design and usability. This is the only web forum so far where I've read posts on alertbox and functionality resources and minimalistic approaches and the whole idea of not going over the top with technology if you don't have to... I love it. Seriously, I do. I've been looking long and hard for some people to talk about this stuff with.
about me... I live in Kansas. I'm an engineer. I like bowling, action movies, the smashing pumpkins, and cosmopolitans. Last night I had this weird dream about being in a room full of people wearing dark shirts and I'm not sure what it meant.
I designed websites in college to pay for school but fell out of it after I got an engineering job, which is just as much fun but pays a lot better. These days I'm better at programming but I think I'm losing my edge when it comes to design... like the creativity was partially sucked out of me. that's tough. so, I do my best.
