Why do People Hate SEO?
Actually in my opinion SEO has great benefits specially to users and their businesses. We must accept the facts that are there are crap seo services promising that they can do it in short amount of time ranking their websites on competitive keywords. Others end up hating SEO because they’re taken in and waste their money on something they thought was SEO but wasn’t....

SEO and search engine spam
SEO and snake-oil promises

The other reason is that people hate SEO, because it needs patience and as a visitor if they don't get useful information then they hate the SEO technique behind the good ranking of an unusual site..

Another Reason is seo takes some times to get results some people may time have as much patience. They wants to see the difference in one night. It is not possible in get ranked in one night. The another one is some people dont have the right knowledge to do seo so they are promising we will promote your site in first place in short time with out knowing actual seo but if you do it in the right way you will start to love the seo.

People hate it because there is no result in the short span of time. Updates are not easy to follow. There is no assurance of ranking stability.

Because Results are fluctuated and even one low quality back-link is enough to damage website ranking with SERp's .

People hate SEO because it is frustrating, complex, complicated, expensive, and risky. Google can change its algorithms in a second and you could lose everything. Also many IMs don't truly know how to build SEO, so its very frustrating to them.

- They don't take the time to read the Webmaster Guidlines themselves to learn what is good and what is bad SEO before attempting to DIY or hire someone.
- Don't want to do the work. Want instant results but don't understand the long term affects of get listed quickly snake oil.
- Don't follow the applicable respected SEO blogs and Google blogs/Twitter accounts to know when things "need adjusting".
- Don't read the threads here and know how to separate the snake oil from the truly valuable information.

SEO can never be hated... Not by me, at least.
Why would one hate a process that would yield results after some months and results that would double the sales thereafter?
People who actually understand the SEO business model, would never hate it.

Of course, who would want to spend so much time and efforts on some lousy search engine ranking which can evaporate overnight when the algorithms change? ) That is why people hate it.

Some people think that way because SEO takes time for improvements and SEM shows better than SEO.

Because many seo practitioners are abusing its capabilities, they are over spamming a website that's why some do hate SEO especially site owners.

The thing is they want immediate result, this is the main reason.
But it requires long time commitment, if you are able to devote time, money as well for long time and you are willing to learn the updates then you can survive in SEO.

Of course, if we want to success in Google SEO then we have to listen what Google says and what Google wants.. if we tried to manipulate Google then it won't be good idea.... Google is smarter than you.
