It very simple how I got listed so easly google gives a heavy weight to domain name and search phrase match. does not help if there are dashes

1 world match very heavy weight
2 world match heavy weight
3 world match medium weight
4 world match a little weight

That and revelent high pr links.

If you can get a domain to match your search phrase get it.

I've had 1 world match list just by registering and forgeting
that for uncompetative search google some times will show a single link from a who is scraper

I am getting ready to redesign this site and try for #1 google spot

this is probably why. your links come from devalued sources.

Well this one year might have added more Trust value on your domain as the more time the links live on the domain Google values it to 100%.

To me, you are just leeching on the keyword. In any case, the phrase seo book just aint cometitive enough. Having the domain in your keyword means half the battle's won.

But so what, are you making much money from your website with less than 10postings. You're making me laugh.

Google places so much weight on domains now that its not very difficult to rank for uncompetative terms.

The penilty was from a link from one link networked site too many
I test many link network sites when competiting in the seo contests and found a few google liked a lot now google does not like them so much google is getting better a finding link relationships and detecting link networks

Yes with a few good clean links you can get listed for a domain match with out much effort for 2 and 3 word matches google love unique links that are not related by linking togeather or have links form sites that link to their links I am doing a lot of link network testing and cleaning my sites will be moving around a lot this month.

Can a competitor hurt your site?
I think it is posable if your site does not have good quailty links if you are on the edge of a pentily trip you can be pushed over easily I've done it to myself many times outside links can hurt you in the globalwarming awareness2007 seo world championship one link moved me back to the end of the surps 2nd to last page from #12 removing the link returned me back to the #12 spot
becareful if you are using link networks on your sites get quaility unique links
