I don't agree that it's impossible, but I do agree it's not gonna happen. Not to do you down at all, netsearch, it's an uncritical observation and yes, you do have a good result. It's one of those phrases that aren't competitive in terms of people searching for it, but are competitive in terms of who wants to rank for it. So I say, well done.

Pretty impressive. There are some very well-established sites that have pages promimently mentioning "seo book".

Did you use any 301 redirects from old/established sites?

Whats more interesting is that seobook.com has 4 of the top ten spots by using subdomains. And most of the other links appears to be referencing seobook.com.

Well from what I see, "seo book" is getting about 1,394 searches with an average adwords CPC for 1st to 3rd position is costing $3.71 - $4.64. Ranking #1 on google and yahoo.

I going to write my first SEO article next week and will explain how I was able to get a page 1 listing in just 1 week.

I think I proved that google does not require a lot of content that was part of this google test I only have a few lines of text but I am currently #4

Content would help a little bit but is not required for good listings on Google

Well you can see that his website has got backlinks from many sites main page ... on yahoo

and an allinanchor search for "seo book" reveals that there are only 757 competing sites for that keyword... not much competetion though...

I have the feeling that he could manage to #3 or even #2 spot but not #1... as Aaron has thousands of links... one-ways... etc to his site...

While I don't follow Aaron's blog, I can believe that it's true. It may not have taken SEO brilliance to acheive number 1 for that phrase, but it did take marketing brilliance to sell a book based on that.
