It’s a question many frustrated business owners have asked again and again. It’s a completely valid question–yet one that rarely gets answered to anyone’s satisfaction.

Here then, is a nuts-and-bolts answer to the question of why search engine optimization takes so much time. As you’ll see, this frequently time-consuming process is all part of an assurance that your SEO dollars are well-spent.

It's good thing that this article pointed out how your competitors can affect your SEO performance as well as how to beat them. It seems that many failed to track their competitors or are oblivious to it. A lot of them still compete for the same keywords thinking they will push their websites' higher on SERPs.

The thing is if you build too many links too soon, you may get ranking but when Google notices your site would get penalized, your site would be indexed but you would get high penalty which would take much time to gain the same position, to overcome this, we should build slow link building with quality and links should look natural tool.

SEO surely is long & costly investment.
Besides creating a good website with good content, it need to go viral and get boosted by social sites in order to ranked top. That is nearly impossible for some industry or business.

The alternative is to use advertising or PPC ads that guarantee the high spot (but will cost even more).
