I think it's useful to know the Google Page Rank of pages you visit because it helps you to get an idea as to how Google is rating a particular page and then you can consider how valuable to you it may be to get your link onto said page.

I use Alexa Traffic Rank, for page rank I use a software, squirrly seo.

I still use Firefox although more and more I'm being convinced to move to Chrome. My excuse for not moving was the lack of plugins/extensions for Chrome but they seem to be catching up.

SEOQUAKE & MOZBAR is must use extension with alexa & page rank toolbar.
