Google vs bing search (or others)

Hey guys,

Have a quick question, is something I'm doing wrong on my blog or is just how google's power is at the moment.

I have 95% of my search engine visits coming only from google, bing or other search engines are not being seen almost at all ...

Anything specific we should do about this?

Yes, you are right.. the difference would be

95% vs 5%

or

95$ vs 5$

Which one is higher?

I didn't really asked that, but if you're referring to the value of the search engine, then yes, that's true.

I'm more interested if anyone else has the same thing ... or is it just me ...

If you are asking about the results page on Google or Bing search, it could probably be the way you did on your blog. However, with the 95% search engine visits, I think you're going strong on Google SERP. A little more promotion or seo campaign is needed to get the 100%. Then, do something as well for SERP on Bing or other search engines.

And what is the difference between SEO for google and SEO for bing ... I mean what else should I do?

I have used bing webmaster since the begining, added the sitemap and all and made sure everything is ok. ...

Don't think I'm doing anything wrong here...

Brilliant! Itís great if you are getting quality traffic from Google as itís the hardest to get traffic from as compared to other search engines.

Secondly, you should be only concerned with getting good traffic not on how or where itís coming from.

And lastly, if you are really concerned about optimizing according for yahoo and bing then here are some tips for you :-

The Fact is that Google has dominated search engine Google, instead of bing, I think you should concentrate on FB.

Well I'm more writing content for people looking for specific information (hence the visits come mostly from search). Relying on social is a momentary thing really...

Google dominates the search engine category but it does not mean that it is the best in all respect. There are other specialized search engine out there that are far more better than Google in doing a specialized searches.

With my own experience I'd say that's about typical.

Whenever I check my stats, Google makes up for about 80% of my search engine traffic.

Probably more.

My sites aren't massive or anything, but this is my experience.

There is no harm in getting traffic from Google provided that you are able to get good quality traffic. You should concentrate on KPI. There'll be no problems if your business objectives are met.

But sometimes in PPC, Bing gives us a more profitable conversion than Google.

This is not the matter of worry, 95% of world's population uses google as their browser.only 4-5% of people use bing or yahoo.
Google gives you an extra package for more traffic and clicks.

On the one hand that's correct. Google has the greatest market share, so you can totally rely on the leader for your organic traffic. Also it's not quite clear how Google's, Bing's and Yahoo!'s ranking algorithms differ, so it's a matter of luck really, and there's little you can do to fix that.

I believe that in most cases you don't need to bother. If you have clear evidence that your target audience uses Yahoo! and Bing a lot, do PPC with Yahoo! Bing network.

I concur! Bing ads are cheaper, and the quality of traffic is really high. And I love Bing ads support: REAL people will solve your specific problems.
