What tool does everyone use to track keyword search volume? How much of the market does each tool cover?

i use a combination of overture and wordtracker. i don't really know how accurate either of those are though. would be intersted to see what other people are using.

I've used Overture's tool forever, but I don't have much faith in it. Wordtracker is not free....thus this thread.

my biggest problem is that word tracker provides results based on quotes mark.

for example if you are searching for leather jackets. it does not take the term, leather jacket, rather it search for the term "Leather Jacket" which will provide different search results and data.

overture results are far different than wordtracker results.

which is why i try and use both and take that happy medium. i like to check the digital point keyword tracker.

they compile both and then provide the results. Plus you don't have to deal with the two hour trial.

- or niche bot (I am very happy with it)
- keywords discovey is the best. (paid)

If you already have a fairly large site, having a site search may give you clues to valuable new keywords related to your website content. OK, maybe not the best for estimating volumne, but still...
