Not likely. You can spend a fortune and get PR8. PR9 and PR10 are very, very difficult.

Using popularity checker tool, Google has over 1,000,000++ links listed. Compare your site with it and work on that.

You can try to create an awesome software like WordPress and include baclinks in the footer and get a PR9 easily!
One time Greg Boser was talking about how the owner of WordPress called him up saying that some sites are removing the link in the footer and what he should do, since he wants a PR10! pretty greedy...

Simple add a guideline to the TOC's of the software...
Point is pagerank is pointless, anyone who looks at that bar and actually cares needs shooting, pagerank on one of my sites has dropped from 5 to 3 but im getting twice the visitors. Who cares about pagerank really?

My personal thoughts are you either need to be a company with 2k+ employees or a university to get a PR 10

I believe it is possible to achive a PR 10 website through massive links and efforts but one thing is certain that you can have several PR 7 websites with the same time and energy spent.

pretty easy... just go get an index page link from google, yahoo, adobe, msn, microsoft, etc... you'd get a pr 10 in no time...  |

also part of it has to do with how many people link to your pages... large companies and colleges get links easy...
I can't say how many sites with link pages I've seen with links to Google for no good reason besides that it's google.
but as people have said, but a quality site. (no hidden adsences for ONE)
then people will come and like your site and link to it.

Well if you have more SEO dollars than Yahoo and MSN then maybe but otherwise consider yourself fortunate to achieve a PR7 although PR does not mean alot these days.

Yahoo and MSN don't have to spend money on SEO... they have there own search engine and they are so well known and link to that they naturally float to the top.
They are even more popular that Google... I just looked at there rank on Alexa.com and Yahoo was #1 and msn was #2... then #3 was Google. Most likely because they have alot more pages like hotmail, shopping, news, and other popular everyday stuff.
After looking some more... I have found it's because of there mail service... 77% on msn and 55% (or something) on Yahoo.

Market your name till your as big as Ebay or Amazon. Then when millions of sites link to yours your will be PR 10. |
