Trying to get indexed

Actually this is a kind of test on the effect of a domains age. Three years ago I bought mrieck.com (firstname initial letter and lastname - just for email purposes). I then came across an article about the value of a domains age.

I have therefore created a subpage about the subject "mortgage" called mortgage.mrieck.com.

I have started building links, I'm adding relevant content, done some onpage opt., created a sitemap and whatever I could think off.

Eventhough this venture is only a 5 weeks old I am still looking for ways to get Google to index my inner pages. The only ways I know is through sitemaps and internal linking.

My question is: Am I missing something?

Google can take a little longer to index deeply. Matt Cutts made mention that quality links to the site make a difference to crawl rate and depth and I've found that deep links (from other sites) help also.

Sure... I forgot deep links. But can we agree that at first linkbuilding should be focused on the main page?

It's the most obvious target, but I would certainly look to get a few deep links for a new site.

Try creating a sitemap and link to it from your forum signature.

lol... why didn't I think of that.

When a bot hits a page with multiple links how many link can one expect for it to visit? (I have no clue as to how they operate)

Also, make sure the descriptions and titles are different for each page you want indexed...not doing so has a negative effect.

Also make sure you have created an SEO friendly internal navigation structure to help search engines find your links with ease.

Google takes time for indexing. For fast indexing just submit your site in directories, because of this search engines will automatically find & list your site. Also add sitemap in your site, try to get links from already listed sites. All these points will help you in fast indexing.

Well I think that I have done most things mentioned. I haven't submitted to paid directories (like building free links) eventhough I know the positive effect that it will have.

When adding new content what is your experience with pinging Google Sitemaps? Is it a must?

1. submit article
2. submit directory
