Yes! There are both paid and free!

Here are the paid [limited] ones --
1) ahrefs.com
2) majesticseo.com

There are numerous tools and software to know number of backlinks. There is no limit in paid tools but free tools show limited number of backlinks. Some tools to check backlinks are ahrefs.com, opensiteexplorer.org and seoprofiler.com.

Let's stop repeating the tools mentioned already. This thread is sounding like a broken record.

PLease explain why you like the tools you have mentioned. It helps if you used the tools and not saying them because someone else did.

GWMT finds more than triple the number of links for us than any tools I've used.

That said, to the OP, making a post today with an anchor text backlink, in no way means it will be discovered and indexed by Google tomorrow, next week or even next month. These things take time, and you cannot hurry the process as it is out of your control for the most part. Just check monthly using one of the tools mentioned in this thread and stop fretting!

No. It doesn't display more links than all the tools mentioned in this threat. I've compared the results with free and paid backlinks tracking tools.

For us, a paid tool like SpyGlass shows about 10k backlinks links. WMT shows over 33k.

This probably isn't the best method, but I use it to see exactly what google has on me, putting the following into the Google produces results specific to your site:

"your site .com" -site:yourSite .com

I think GWMT is good coz it does not have limitations on how many backlinks will it show or for others which are paid.

Integrate GWMT with your site, and in a few days it will start showing you all the results.

Alexa.com also gives some insights.

More the traffic on your website the better the information available on alexa
