Backlinks: Quality or quantity?

Hello

I'm in the works of creating backlinks for my site.
Is it better to concentrate on getting backlinks from many sites, or is many links from one site equaly good ? If the pagerank on the different sites is the same.

You should never build back links for your websites. Create enticing content regularly and let it shared by your users. in this way you will earn link value and eventually more authority for your website.

one backlink from a domain is enough. quality matters don't go with quantity.

Hi griulf,

There are many resources where you can build your links. However, it depends what the niche are working about. Look for your competitions links in this case. Check out their linking strategies. They are proven way to get success.

Obviously, quality.
But it should be natural as you can, it's really hard to have only backlink with high PR, don't you think?

I don't chance high quality backlinks. I just keep sharing content online and word of mouth can be a powerful thing once and awhile.

You could get good links on a high quality website but what happens when Google finds out that website maybe involved in bad back linking practices? They get banned and your links mean nothing in which took you time to get.

Instead of chasing down places to link drop, work on compelling content your target audience likes. They will share for you and build your incoming links for you.

Heck, if you write a really good piece that gets the attention of someone influential you could get even better backlinks if they mention you or write a piece in reply to what you wrote.

There is no problem if you get the many backlinks from the one quality website. And you get the quality backlinks from the many websites of the same pagerank. But make sure that you have to work on the quality backlinks of the websites. And do not submit the link on the spam websites.

Both! Quantity of quality links, if you're up for the task.
