Lol - John's post is probably as succinct as it can be Affnice - you can do more of the same, in variation.

Of course, since on-page optimization is finite, off-page optimization (getting more incoming links or "backlinks") is the key to generating higher page rank. I like article directories and article submissions.

Other forms of submissions include submitting to social bookmarking sites like del.icio.us or technorati.com.

Lately, I've been looking at building my own sites with page rank and utilizing my own resources to get higher page rank for new sites. How you use the page rank eventually depends, then.

Search Engine Optimization is hard work, especially when done right.

From my experience (which I humbly share, here), working with dynamic languages, like PHP, makes it easier to ease (at least in part) the code management.

For instance, use lots of "includes" to "frame" your "main content" within an "enclosure" that'll have lots of "constantly updating" information (like RSS feeds) and hopefully rich (and complementary) information links.

In short, make the bots happy with new and ideally tightly targeted information while keeping the experience as rich as possible for the human visitors so you stand a chance at getting motivated "repeat visitors".
