I gave one guy #1 positions with most keywords he asked for... guess what? He did not pay me because his traffic increased only 10-20 people a day. It is not my problem! I always tell people that somethimes #1 positions is not a 100% to have 1000000 daily visitors unless this position with word "sex".

Hi John, nice tips.
But for step three, I prefer to submit to topical/local directory first.
Since this kind of directories is not as many as general dirs, and might produce some traffic. If I have blog then better to submit to blog directories first, or if I have webmaster related site, then I'll go for webmaster directories first.

i apologies for my ignorance,i know the definition of SEO my friend. But as an SEO its you keep on doing the same thing other and other again. Do some linkage and submissions to have more traffics, can you tell some other ways?
