Well I have 3,000+ quality links I have also researched on all all my competitors and have found out that none of them is having the quality links that can give them rankings most of the links are just reciprocal and my links are better than them in quality and in quantity too so I think there must be a age filter in the search engines.

Agree and I think it is what Manish’s is seeing too. You have an older site with quality links (like myself) and keeps getting beaten by random new pages that are often terrible! But these new pages are random and just because it is new the rank is not guaranteed.

My experience with MSN is similar. I always found it trivially easy to get a new site ranked on MSN, but my older pages now have much lower ranks, even though they have grown and gotten more links.
They are like a reverse search engine.

And also one thing you people say that MSN indexes links too quickly but with this exactly the opposite to me Yahoo have indexed my 4,500+ links Google have indexed 300+ links but MSN is still stucked to 189 from a long time.

probably has as much to do with your competition as anything. I have a website that jumped to #1 in msn within a couple weeks. It took a few months, but eventually made it to #6/7 in yahoo and Google. It's held on to all of these ranks for probably 6+ months.
However, it's not a hugely competitive term. about 1,500,000 results in Google. I don't think people are building links to compete with it as they may be with other terms.
are you sure you guys aren't being beaten?

It most likely is something else that is causing your site to not rank aswell. MSN takes account of onpage factors aswell as inbound links.

If MSN has an aging filter, it's not much of one. I launched the Apogee Search site in September 2005. By December, I was on page two for "search engine marketing". It took me until October of this year to get to page five on the same keyword in Google.

MSN and Yahoo gradually are turning to the Google style, counting the links and their relevancy to determine a website in addition to the always true fact of onpage optimization.
