If you translate the content yourself, and create sub-pages i.e. different versions of the same page, this will boost your SEO loads and drive traffic from your target countries. Bear in mind that the content generated from a Google translate plugin will not be found by Google's bots, so while it takes longer to add unique translated content yourself, you are better off taking the time to do this.

There can be many ways to achieve the desired result. One option is mentioned above to have content in other languages or to use language translator hoping that it can be keep up by search engines for region specific. Another option is we can use language meta tags on the source code to specify a particular single page targets following language users.

for multi-language websites it's better to use language code in the url like that
domain.com/en/page.html
domain.com/ru/page.html
this way you can target more than one language and then in google webmaster let google know which country targeted in which sub-directory of your website

Google has a wonderful webpage that discusses how to do exactly what you are asking. Although my websites are all geared toward American/English speaking individuals, if I ever require a website to be spread out among the continents I know where to look.

For multiple languages, you can use following language code
domain.com/en
domain.com/ph
And need to optimize these pages separately. Another way, you need to optimize one page for different search engine. Do proper offpage SEO activities like to submit your page on a specific search engine.

Here you can target multiple countries by having a domain in their specific ccLTDs such as ‘.fr’ for France, ‘.de’ for Germany, ‘.ca’ for Canada etc.

You can use subdomains, like:
domain.com - en
sg.domain.com - sg
ph.domain.com - ph

Yes..You can try this at your own risk..I have seen a video of google team explaining about the translation of web pages..I hope it will be very much useful and neil patel also suggested that in his latest post..

Important thing here is we can't predict how google acts..

I agree with you, creating sub-pages for each separate language will boost your site's SEO too.

Question depends on the languages used in all 5 countries, if people use English language use the same for all. Otherwise you need to translate your content according to country language and make a different pages as ServStrongcom described:

domain.com/en/page.html
domain.com/ru/page.html
this way you can target more than one language and then in google webmaster let google know which country targeted in which sub-directory of your website
