Does improve my PR?
HI all,
I'm working to release an application and a blog simultaneously, and I will work to create backlinks to the blog and the application. I could buy two different domains but I hope using one only will help increase the PR of the domain. I know that subdomains are treated like different domains for PR, so the use of "blog.***.com" and "myapp.***.com" is not recommended. So I thought of this form: "www.***.com/blog" and "www.***.com/myapp"
Am I right? Will this help increasing the PR of both blog and application sites?
thx

Hmm - I didn't do that.
Seems like when it got posted, vbSEO pulled out the title description. *shrug*. I can't seem to find the edit link here. Could you help me with that, John? Or just remove the link anyhow - I presumed you had a nofollow link on the forum...

The answer to my first topic question is NO. subdomains are not treated diferently from subfolders.. It's easy to see using Google toolbar with PR bar

Well, we'll just have to test it out and see... So far, I believe you may be right.

Subdomains are treated like different domains, and in a certain way are easier to get ranked than new domains.
There's an in-depth thread about it somewhere in here.

Well it doesn't matter of what you use a subdomain or a sub folder as long as you link to it it will have a PR.

Well but dont forget John that all the subdomains you use is under V7N networks it gets links from all the V7N sites directory forums etc, which is itself of high quality therefor anything getting links from your sites will be surely considered as quality sites.

And we clearly know that how much quality a V7N link is and what difference it can make to our rankings. Just need to be from a proper place.
