Is there hope for Full Flash Websites ?

Is the html that keeps the full flash page enough to insert some good code for SEO ??

I now see google reads flash pages ( but only parent ones ). Could this be the begining of a beautiful friendship ?

IMO yes there is hope for full flash websites. I've squeezed a little seo mojo out of some flash html templates and flash detection intro pages.

A LOT of rankings are due to anchor text of IBL and not any content of the pages, so really I don't have any issues with Flash.

Well if you have site totally build in flash then there's only one thing you can do and that is to build as many quality links as you can.

I'm a flasher ... and I don't know that much stuf about SEO and html scripting. Could you guys point out some advice?

I have tried a certain "something" with my own full flash webpage ( in my signature ). I don't know if there is more I can do from that single html page ...

There is no problem for a full flash site if it has good content. Flash site is only not good for search engines.

100% flash sites died out for good reasons.

* They take longer to download
* They often use non-standard navigatio = confusion
* Bad SEO
* Flashy and annoying
* Music is distracting
* Many PCs are old and struggle to show them

And so on. Arguments raged around the web pro and con full flash sites. I don't like them - they're not nearly responsive enough for me. I like to be able to move around sites very quickly, and have as little fluff and filler around the information I need as is possible.

WillB you have a point but depends on the websites/target/purpose.

If you want a website to present a bar or restaurant, to get the user used to the atmpshpere and all that flash is way more than suitable. But this is another talk pro/against flash websites. Anyway I am building full flash websites and that's all, Im not good with hyper texting/php/db etc

Im just curious to hear some pionters related to SEO full flash websites. What about the tags, title, any secrets involving hidden html content just to help out the SE bots ... etc. Now that google for example is able to read the in-flash content ( im talking just the mother page, the pages beeing loaded in movie clips inside flash are not available I see ) maybe there are a few secrets to boost the rankings. Don't know ... Im not a SEO expert. Im just hoping to hear some SEO masters with this issue.

Ya I agree waiting for minutes for a site to fully load is quite frustrating and Flash sites are quite like that so an HTML site is much preffered.

Heh, yes, sorry cornholio. I missed your original question.

I think that good SEO is still possible with an entirely flash website. There are some large site (cars and stuff) that have no HTML content on the homepage, but still get listed as #1.

It's all about backlinks, PR and reputation in these cases, as well as some decent META stuff in the top.

Yes, I have read an article from somewhere which tells the ways you can optimize the flash websites, however these things dont have much effect but you can try but the main game is quality links.
