Yahoo Just sent me a generic email with generic comments regards my lacking of indexing. It took them only three days to respond. I was actually half expecting never to receive anything. In their email were two comments I thought was intersting or useful.. I'd thought I'd share.
Possible reasons why my site isn't indexed could be because: The following is based on Yahoo's guidlines found here:
http://help.yahoo.com/help/us/ysearc...basics-18.html
(1)
"Metadata (including title and description) that accurately describes the contents of a web page "
Metatag descriptions: If you have too many metatags that are the same your site will NOT be indexed by yahoo. Hmm.. I thought metags were so 90's but I guess they do mean something after all. I just got dome fixing them. I wonder how long it will take to be re listed.
(2) "
Excessively cross-linking sites to inflate a site's apparent popularity"
Too many IBLS, or poor quality IBS does give yahoo the impression you are artificially increasing link popularity... Hmm This means that my competition could easly blast me out of yahoo by spamming incomming links from poor quality sites.. That makes me feel uncomfortable. At least google doesn't penalize for this.
