Not indexing in Yahoo Site Explorer

Last week I started using yahoo's Site Explorer. I heard it was the analog to googles sitemap. After authenticating, and submitting sitefeeds etc.. I found that my site is not indexing for some reason. It's my most SEO'd site, and has 1000's of IBLS..

I have other sites that I started a few months ago with hundreds of pages indexed.. ??

Anyone experience somethign similar?

I just found webpage on Yahoo where you can ask them SEO related stuff.
Here's the link. http://add.yahoo.com/fast/help/us/ys...aster_support/

I'll let you know if they will get back with me.

I've got my fingers crossed.

Yahoo Just sent me a generic email with generic comments regards my lacking of indexing. It took them only three days to respond. I was actually half expecting never to receive anything. In their email were two comments I thought was intersting or useful.. I'd thought I'd share.
Possible reasons why my site isn't indexed could be because: The following is based on Yahoo's guidlines found here: http://help.yahoo.com/help/us/ysearc...basics-18.html

(1) "Metadata (including title and description) that accurately describes the contents of a web page "

Metatag descriptions: If you have too many metatags that are the same your site will NOT be indexed by yahoo. Hmm.. I thought metags were so 90's but I guess they do mean something after all. I just got dome fixing them. I wonder how long it will take to be re listed.

(2) "Excessively cross-linking sites to inflate a site's apparent popularity"

Too many IBLS, or poor quality IBS does give yahoo the impression you are artificially increasing link popularity... Hmm This means that my competition could easly blast me out of yahoo by spamming incomming links from poor quality sites.. That makes me feel uncomfortable. At least google doesn't penalize for this.

I never faced such problems with any of my sites. Since I started using Yahoo SiteExplorer, I've seen my sites being indexed regularly.

WagerX,

You have been de-indexed for something that Yahoo considers to be against their policy guidelines. I had a site with the same problem but found nothing wrong with it so I used site submit express. I paid the fee and they reviewed the site. Then sure enough it was included. However if you stop paying the fee for site submit express they seem to stop crawling your URLs again.

BTW.. Cross linking is when you have 2 or more sites linking back and forth from every page. I don't think getting too many IBLS or poor quality links will count as what they call cross linking.

Watching Yahoo's algo change more and more I get the feeling they are really trying to push websites into paying to be indexed. Making the organic section, more synthetic, especially once you start to search for products.

I'd pay if I could. Yahoo's TOS do not allow casino related sites to be considered for indexing. Ironically I don't want US traffic. I don't even allow US residents to make an account. I do want to be listed in yahoo for the sole reason that casino related sites are legal in other countries. That's the yahpp traffic I want..
<sigh> I'm still not indexed after all of the mods.. I do have my fingers crossed.

Reminds of the same business idea of Inktomi paid inclusion. Wait, it is.
