Negative Object's For SEO

Hi i have done seo on my site www.simplelance.com we have more backlinks than our competition for our targeted keywords,

However our placement in the engines for some keywords are high our main keywords do not rank what i want to know is what items can be negative on search engine rankings.

It is not just the number of backlinks but also the quality of those backlinks, so having more doesn't always mean anything. You also have to look at other aspects of SEO.

Yes its not the no.of links that matter you should have more quality links than them to rank higher.

Also depends on the keyword/s you are using in those backlinks. You need to make sure you target your keyword/s properly.

Looking at your signature, it contains lot of keywords linking to the site in question. Are you using the same keywords on your backlinks? Also try changing your banner image alt text to your keywords....that would make a lot of difference.

Hi i have read your points and found them interesting so far.

I do use my keywords in all my backlinks i also try and get higher page rank and good quality backlinks but they are harder to get.

Does image tags do allot for SEO.

Well I have already whatever you do these do work but only a little, if you really need to rank high you have to get more quality Bls.
