Google search differs from phone to desktops and this difference can be pointed by the users. While searching about local things on google, results appear faster on phone than in computers. Autocomplete appears first in phones and then in computers. Basically, google search is more interactive in phones and less interactive in computers because of the increased number of smartphone users.

Google takes a lot of factors while serving search results like Precise Location, Google Business Radius Targeting, Loading Time, Optimization, etc. So, search engine results might differ on desktop and mobile.

This is because google search differs from desktop to phones. Google follows lot of factors while search results. Therefore search results differ in phone and desktop.

This issue comes from cached files in web browsers and temp files in desktop system. In cash of mobile search result they have different algorithms. So, mobile page result can be differ from desktops results.

Why do you think that is so??

Look, there's no punishment because a site has crappy content. It's just not good enough to rank. Punishment normally comes when circumventing Google's guidelines.

That being said, sites that are not-mobile friendly can still outrank mobile friendly site pages in mobile search, if the former has great content, and the latter has crap or "thin" junk-style content.

This response does not help the thread creator out or anyone actually.

Everyone has this goal in mind but the ones who put in the actual work to learn SEO and maintain learning it will know how to start to build up some rankings slowly and perhaps someday get to number 1.

If you can not add any value to this thread, don't responds. Search this forum for SEO tips as we have plenty already.

There are few factors for different results in PC and Mobile. You're always logged in on your phone one way or another so according to that account, your results will be personalized and the bookmarking of some sites using that account also can be a reason. And local result appear more in mobile than Desktop because of you GPS,maps location services etc.on your mobile

Google uses 2 separate indexes for PC and Mobile... Waiting for the impact of Mobile index first. Does anybody know when it will roll out?

There is a new update for this in the new release of Google algorithm.Basically, they want people to have a rich experience when searching through mobile, thus, websites that have a responsive website are given priority in search results compared to websites that have not updated their layouts
