Search Engine position?
Is there any source to know whether my website is listed on the Search Engines?
If listed, is it possible to know on which page my web page is listed or say my website’s Search Engine position?
If there is any source or tool for gathering such information, it would be a great help if you could send me the details.

What search engine do you mean?
When working with Google I use Google toolbar, when I search for the site and the first result I have is my site, it means it's been indexed.

You can see your postion in 3 search engines Google, Yahoo and MSN for any given keyword phrase at googlerankings.com. There is no software to download. Alll you need to apply for Google API Key for that. It is free.

if you know how to use the "site:" command in Google, Yahoo, and MSN, you can determine if your website is listed on the search engines.
example:
type this in the search engine text box:
site:datadial.net
The site command also views the indexed pages found in your website

Parusa, can you explain, if the site is creditreportsonly.com, for example, should it look like
creditreportsonly.com:datadial.net?

I've used paid services. SEO companies do it for me by hands.

No, im referring to the thread starter's sig in my previous example, you must type this in the Search Engine textbox:
site:creditreportsonly.com
to be more specific type this in the SE textbox
site:domain.com
you must include the word site: as I typed in my example, ok?

Well, my <forum rules> allows you to define whatever search engines you want to check. At least the system I use works with Google, Yahoo, Ask and MSN... So I am pretty sure you can get about just any search engine working for position checking.

David, the free edition sucks. Tells almost anything.
WebCEO Free Edition tells much more by the way.
