Backlink Question
Lets say you have 1 year old web site and you want to buy backlink for 5-6 months period.
There is 2 sites. X and Y. They have pr 5. And both sites have 22 backlinks, from kind of the same sites. They are totally the same for google. (Lets say it ha)
Is there any difference between buying link from X for 6 months or first buying from X for 3 months and than from Y 3 months?

Yes, there is a difference. Google has introduced a 'dampening link factor' into its algorithm to dampen the effect of new backlinks. Google will value only those links which have stayed for long time. So if you are planning to buy links only for short time like 3 months, it may not give you any results.

Well it may give you good results if your site is already up from some months.

What Vistadivine refers to is the Google's Aging delay for new sites - commonly known as sandbox effect.
Dampening factor of new links is a different issue. It is introduced by Google to discourage people from purchasing links to boost link popularity artificially. Google gives credit to aged links i.e. links which have stayed for a long duration. You can get more information about this filter at

I'm so sure of that, but if you buy BL to boost for a time your PR, you should then create link with directories with a good PR (thing you maybe shouln't be able to do before) and then create a kind of equilibrium.
Is that possible ?
To buy something to be able to get it free at the end ... sound good no ?

I agree, but sometimes you should have a PR5 to subscribe in there. And according to pubcon's tips, targeting the quality and not the quantity is a good issue ... so.

I believe it won't effect it at all. One week is not long enough. You might get some more eyeballs looking at your website though.

I ll try to make my question more simple;
I bought a link from page rank 5 for 3 months. 3 months passed. Now i am thinking: Which one is better? To stay with this site or leaving it and buying from other page rank 5 site?

And its not about page rank. I am giving links to my deeper pages.
like "Madonna Songs". For search results directly.

Well if you stay or live it doesn't matter because it will be still counted as only 1 link but if you buy more links along this one then it would be much better for your rankings.

well nedo, i would suggest you to buy link from either X or Y, but buy for 6 months. Age factor for linking is highly counted by GOOGLE, so it wont be giving more value if you buy link for 3 months from X, and same with Y, rather if you buy for 6 months, thats more valueable to your site,
as GoogleSuccess said, the Dampening Factor, so thats being taken in to consideration quite well, by google.
so if i'd been in your place i'd have bought link for 6 months.
regards,
Abid Sultan

What do you mean by PR 5 subscribe
|
what I mean, sometimes, you can find directories or whatever, who accept your subscription or link exchange according to your PR. I know it's not so faire, but you just can suggest your domaine name in a 'PR2 directory' if your are PR2, in a PR5 directory if you are PR5.
So, this way, I think it's good to buy for 6 months good BL to get a 'PR Boost' and then be able to subscribe permanantly in 'better' directories.
exemple: http://www.rank-guru.com/
I didn't do that, so... it's more a question
Is that possible ? It look like no?

Well, I'm still going to submit to the thousands of free directories. So far I am that some of the effect comes from some of those.
