You don't have to add Google's Featured Snippets, it's extracted from your site content, but before it can happen, first you have to rank on Google 1st page.

Personally, I found that a lot of Featured Snippets are in the form of precise answers to user's query like how-to, what, why, and etc. So once you ranked on Google 1st page, you can start optimizing your content such as a question followed by a precise answer straight.

Example:
How to cook crab? - subheading
Some description of the answer..
Step 1. Wash the crab
Step 2. ...
Step 3. ...

Google OneBox is a separate display box within the SERPs where results from a search match is compiled. The OneBox uses search results from Google's universal search.

A featured snippet is a summary of an answer to a user's query, which is displayed on top of Google search results. It's extracted from a webpage, and includes the page's title and URL. There are three types of snippets, depending on the query: Paragraph.

The Feature Snippet is automated by Google, but we can optimize our content to maximize the opportunity to get it on SERPs.

In my experience, we have 3 types of the feature snippet includes Paragraph, List (Steps) and Table. But first, your content should be an ultimate guide in Top 10, the best is in Top 5 on SERPs.

Paragraph: you should optimize the paragraph you want to show in Feature snippet between 45 words and 97 words. The best is a paragraph with 60 words ~ 315px.

List: The best is a list of 4-6 items and 10 - 15 words per item. And you should use code for list like <ol> <ul> <il>.

Table: you should use the table of 4-6 rows and 3 columns.

Please Follow the Points:

1. Your Title Should be Question type and info type
2. Write lengthy Content
3. Write Content in Points and Paragraph
4. Need to Share all the Available Social Portals
5. Need More Shares from users
6. Generate More Traffic
7. Try to get More Comments (for this u need to ask one question end of the your Article)
8. You need to optimize and Submit to Google regularly.

Follow these all. You Have Chance to get Snippet but Google will decide, it is coming automatically.
You Dont have chance to get depends on your wish or add any code to your site.

Where does the answer summary come from?

The summary is a snippet extracted programmatically from what a visitor sees on your web page. What's different with a featured snippet is that it is enhanced to draw user attention on the results page. When we recognize that a query asks a question, we programmatically detect pages that answer the user's question, and display a top result as a featured snippet in the search results.
