I know that for one, Google is going to start to make stronger moves towards ranking sites with the secure SSL certificate sites vs. unsecure sites. This move is supposed to really take a big hit in October.

That's been their plan for at least the past several years. Nothing new for 2017 in that department.

Now, what's that? Why don't they say that they want all websites to do PPC.

Lets hope that Google won't become like Facebook one day where you have to do paid ads to get reach.

Wink Seo Coming Things

As Far as my knowledge regarding seo is concerned. I would say that
1. Data will reveal Google organic results to have <70% CTR
2. Mobile will barely cut in to desktop's usage and its growth rate in developed countries will slow.
3. Twitter will figure out how to grow again
4. Social content engines will become a force

For more details i would suggest you to visit a [removed] which i generally use on a regular basis to get some knowledge regarding seo.

Agree. I no longer feel bothered about their updates. For me it is all about quality and relevancy only which I think would be the gist of all updates. So, nothing much new to expect there.

SEO has been the same for the last 10 years... Nothing has changed. Google does updates because people are always looking for short cuts instead of actually working. Funny thing is their short cuts take more work vs just giving Google what they have asked for all along..

I don't think so. Gaint like Facebook and Google always focus on their own profit. So definitely they are on their way to force the search engine users to perform the paid campaign.

I think Google will focus next year for reduce ancient websites which not updated from a long time. Even social media also make some rules like those who not updating or using that page or account should go block after few years.
