SEO and host headers

Does anyone know if using host headers instead of unique ip addresses has any affect on SEO efforts?

That might be a bad idea unless you know the other domains on that same IP are clean from spamming. Otherwise I think you would be ok. ULTRA DNS and zone edit offer a similar service and they don't effect SEO efforts.

I'm interested to hear what other people think... but I think you would be ok using hosting headers Kristee Jo.

I have read if you want to be safe its a good idea to stay away from an IP that has more than 30 domains on it. Since you know whats going on with the other domains sounds like you are in good shape.
