Yeah there are the right Seo Guidelines which should be followed by any white hat seo person. These guidelines are-
1. Following the white hat seo techniques.
2. Start Title Tag with your keyword
3. Add Modifiers to your Title
3. Put H1 tag in your title.
4. Put Subheading in H2 Tag
5. Put a keyword in first 100 words
6. Responsive design
7. Use Social Sharing Buttons.
8. Image Optimization

Follow these steps and your seo will be smooth.

Doesn't matter the website is single page or multiple page. SEO is always same.

Why us it? Do you have any actual experience using it? If not, why not support your view with some valuable pointers to substantiate why it should be used?

I personally would not recommend a single page website for a client unless it was just a basic what we are about (although that isn't much use to anyone either).
  • Hard to optimize for specific terms (see point 2)
  • More pages you have the more keyword phrases/themes you can be found for easier than a single page website.

You can read other people's opinion on SEO for single page websites here: seo, single page website

Not at all. You just go with your normal link building strategy.

my thoughts too. what's the reason for a single page website? surely you can add a couple pages for little extra time, allowing for much better optimisation

If the site you choose is only one page, then you are optimistic Onpage good to be friendly with Google. Off Page you only select the best quality backlinks and go less.

There is no need to do SEO, but remember that your website should have original content, that's it.

It seems to be the new fad. For some reason web designers/developers are not explaining the SEO issues associated with a one page site to their clients and priding themselves on fancy features instead.
