Anyone know of a good tool I can use to see if a website is stuck in the sandbox ?

I don't think there is a tool for that.

Anyway, there are people who says that there is no such thing as Sandbox, there are others who claim it does.

It's really easy just submit your page to google sitemaps and it will tell whether or not your website is listed anywhere in the google SERPs.

How long has your site been live for?

Are the main keywords that your site has been optimized for getting "filtered out" per se, whilst other random keywords or secondary phrases ranking?

One way to find out is usually if your main keyword phrases are not ranking accordingly for your optimized keywords, however you are getting obscure Google related traffic and related rankings, you could be sandboxed.

Then again, it will be case by case basis and as the theory goes is all related to do with time frame and the gathering of quality one-way links from other authority web sites & when Google decides to do a major update in respect on how you would get out of the 'sandbox' in the future.

Solidghost - there was a good sandbox checker at seochat.com but now its gone. I found one at search engine genie, but its a little suspect.

Thanks for your help Nuthin. We have several new clients - some have old websites and some have new ones. Our newest client has a website that is 2 years old and not in the top 50 for any of their keywords.

I know of this sandbox tool but wondering if anyone knows of another Sandbox checker that might be better ?

Not sure of any tool, but

If you do a search for your domain in Google and they return zero results for your website (and you had been previously listed in Google), there is a chance that you have been banned.

If you have not been banned, but do not rank well with Google, you should look at the quality of your content and the quality of your inbound links. You should also see if you rank well for non- competitive keywords. Remember how the filter affects competitive keywords more than less competitive keywords? Well, you can use this to determine if you have been sandboxed. Finally, if you rank well in all the other major search engines, but do not show up at all in Google's rankings, you have probably been sandboxed.
