The Fire Fox NoDoFollow :: Add-on

I have gotten the The Fire Fox NoDoFollow :: Add-on, it will Highlight NoFollow links. It's an excellent way to see if it is worth adding your link to a particular page. FYI, not sure if everyone here knows of it.

Yeah there are a lot of plugins with this functionality.

Though, I would recommend to not judge the value of a link by nofollow tag as sometimes even a nofollow link can prove extremely valuable. I have seen many nofollow links which have generated a decent volume for our clients.

I have worked with an advertising network once and a link that I put in a blog comment on a relevant blog had become the top referral source for that network.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, SEO should not be limited in scope, as you have pointed out.

Why would trying to obtain a link from a page that utilizes the "nofollow" attribute be a bad thing?? Searching out pages for backlinks without the "nofollow" attribute is very short sighted.

Follow and No Follow

The Addon is just a Tool in the 'Tool Box', and just to clarify it highlights both Follow and No Follow Links.

Right, but you said:

I'm saying both types of links are worth looking at for SERP listings, and traffic.

i have the same one for chrome. it is useful for me in the sense i can see if a paid directory is worth as much as they are charging to include a link to our site. when paying for a directory such as yell, or yelp etc, i'm not just thinking of the visitors to the site, but also the link juice i might get. nofollow reduces that link juice

One should not consider dofollow or nofollow link..

for e.g. Facebook has a nofollow link this means you should link your website to facebook.. no dude this is is not correct...

Just go for the relevant links and dont care about dofollow or nofollow..

I agree with MaxScott. RDS bar provides multiple options like checking Page & Domain Authority and also SemRush, Alexa rank plus many more details.

All of which have nothing to do with SEO or Rankings...

The amount of time you people waste on useless things is amazing!

There are other considerations than just if a link is a do-follow. I think about how many people might come to the site from that link as well. Also, I'm sure many people will agree with me that no-follow links are still useful signals for relevancy.

do-follow links don't exist - there is no such thing...

A link is a link period! Only Search Engines Know The Weight They Carry - Fact!
