Matt Cutts lost his wife Cindy suddenly in March 2018.

For those who do not know who Matt Cutts is,
Matt Cutts is the former head of the Spam team at Google. While he was there he was the face of Google helping website owners tweak their sites and understand how rankings work at Google. There are hundreds of videos on YouTube he did for the Google Webmaster Central division (now called Google Search Console).
