Are you creating quality content?
Does the site at least have a few links back to it?
Does the site have an RSS feed, are you pinging and syndicating your updated post?

If you're encountering indexing issue, then you must check these things.
1. If your site is new, then don't worry it takes time to get indexed.
2. Make sure you submit a sitemap because of fast indexing
3. Check your Yoast SEO setting to ensure that you have enabled the indexing of your post and page
4. Check for robots.txt file
5. Try to submit some of your posts using ''fetch as google" option.

Sometimes your sitemap isn't updating for some reasons. So run a fresh sitemap and re-submit that.

Also check your robots.txt file, .htacces file and meta tages.

You have to do regular update on your website, and fetch pages after any changes or newly published pages, do some hight domain authority backlinks to index your pages, before that check your website has any no follow no index issue or search engine rendering issues are there on a website.

sign up to Google Webmaster tools and check what the issues are crawling your site. That should lead you in the right direction

May be your site is new. With the new website it take 4-5 days to index a post in your site. You should continue posting new article on your site every day and then fetch as to Google, but you need to remember that your content must be fresh and unique.

indexing issue

Check if the robots.txt, .htacces file and meta tags are proper or not. Fetch your pages and submit the URLs.

I had the same problem, that google could not read robots.txt correctly and stopped indexing my site.

First line of robots.txt should hold a comment line e.g. #SOME COMMENT for google to be able to read the user-agent statement correctly. Sometimes if user-agent text is in line 1 without comment line, google cannot read it and stop indexing!
