New SEO contest: Seo World Championship

Allow me to introduce the new SEO contest: SEO World Championship

1st price: A brand new Citroen C2. The winner of our first prize will receive a brand new Citroen c2 from the closest local car dealer.

2nd price: A Caribbean Cruise. The winner will recieve travel checks.

3rd price: A plasma tv

4th price $500

5th price $100

The contest will start January 15th (2007) and end May 1st (2007).

Some good stuff about this contest:

1: There will be a scorecard page where you can follow the top leaders in the contest.

2: In order to win you have to be good at optimizing for Google, Msn and Yahoo since total points are combined when determing the winner.

3: You can win a car!!!!!!!!!

4: The contest will be monitored by people that know SEO (one of them is me) so we are making the rules as fair as we possibly can!

5: This SEO contest will be annual and we are expecting a lot of contestants already

6: You can choose to link or not to link back to the official website and instead choose one of our banners linked or not linked.

The keyword to optimize for will be announced on Jan 15 so stay tuned!

To qualify for a price you need a new domain but you can always use your old domains to link from.

Not huge actually, I know a guy that only had a few pages and managed to place at fifth place in the v7n.com contest.
Seo is also about beeing creative, like creating linkbaits and good free services so that people will link back to you.

Also! It would be impossible to have a PR limit or something as a rule since competitors could link to their opponents etc, PR also changes every 3-4 months and that makes it even more impossible to imply any kind of PR rule.
