How many outbound link in home page?

Hello guys

How many outbound link in the first page ??? , if I create web directory and the first page i have many outbound link this one it should be effect to search engine rank or not.

Having too many links may harm your page rank,
Many webmaster who has got PR 5 ,etc are selling links in their webpage
So their page rank may decrease in near future

I got a PR5 and have 1 outbound link. I don't intend to sell links, because it could only make my rank go down.

I thought having outbound links did't effect the sites page rank it just dilutes the value of the links on the page because the page rank is being spread out to more sites...

Agreed, but keep it less than the inbound links created because your site may be penalized.

IMO outbound link doesn't affect much on the ranking of a page/site.
But it doesn't look good to have a site that has more links than content.

I dont think there is a fixed rule to have N number of outbound links. These should be qualitative. Thats it.

I was using a SEO page examiner and it said I had too many links on my main page. Does this idea of keeping around 100 count towards links within the site, or just links that carry visitors off-site?

That is a myth unless you are breaking the terms of Google and they find out.

The number of links on a given page is 100 but less is better. I keep my outbounds to 25 or less, anything higher can look a mess.

it was said that it must be at least 100, but keep in mind that it must be less than the inbound links.

it is better to get no outbound links in your home page when you start a new website and all your home page links will be direct to your inner pages.
did not compare your web site to the big they have millions backlinks direct to their web sites and they can added outbound links.

the best is to get high page rank ,quality links then you have the possibility to add outbound links.
