Yahoo Directory - what is "adult" content?

I'm wanting to submit a site of mine to the Yahoo directory. It's a men's health site that deals with premature ejaculation etc. It's an actual clinic, not just a rubbish made-for-adsense type site.

I was wondering if this is what Yahoo would classify an "adult" site. They charge $300 for a normal site or $600 for an adult site.

Having not submitted within this grey area before, I thought I would ask for advice. I don't want to spend $600 if I don't have to, but I also don't want to spend $300 and have my listing declined because it's an "adult" site.

Any thoughts?

The site is www.menshealth.co.nz

Thanks.

Harvey.

Hmm, have you checked for similar sites in Yahoo's directory? I never thought the Yahoo link was worth it. 300 bucks is just too rich for my blood considering what can be done from simply optimizing your page with popular search phrases and building free backlinks.

Jayde directory is free and has pretty good PR. Of course there Dmoz but they are kinda Nazis with some sites(mine)

Hmm maybe I should start buying a few good directory links.

Most of the sites ranking above me for the phrases I want have Yahoo links, so I'm going to follow the pack on this one. I can afford $300 for a listing, but I can't afford to waste $300 to be rejected because I should have used the $600 option.

The category in question is under "health", so I'm guessing it is just a normal category, but I'd just like to hear it from someone else first

They reject sometimes sites if they have dead links. And your does:
http://www.menshealth.co.nz/trt/ and a coming soon: http://www.menshealth.co.nz/testosterone-test/
You are also linking with bad neighbors.
You also sell medicine. You should display a proof that you are certified to do that!

Nirmal is liked by many
Adult content in Yahoo directory means, site that contains explicit nudity, vugarity and porn. It depends upon the theme of the site too. A breast feeding site which contains pics of naked breasts might not fall it Adult category where leg fetish porn site without explicit nudity will fall in adult category.
I think your site need not have to pay $600. But you might want consider the points raised by TheBrain.
