High Ranking, but now gone

any one know why i had a really high ranking on google, and now it has manage to slide down 50 positions, any one know what could of caused this, I'm thinking its cause google reindexing pages, cause my site always goes down like this, but then it comes right back up, but usually in a better placement.

it was custom website design, seo tools , website designers, seo consulting.

they was all shooting up, but I have a hole new website im getting ready to put up wit a way a better design, and blog system on the outside of it, so hopefully this will help my ranking.

which I plan on doing more directory submissions, article submission, but I'm not going to do the article submissions until i get the new site up, due to some design reasons, and other things on my site right now.

Ranking high in google is very hard: They constantly update for instance one day i was rank #1 for my keyword, now i'm back to 3 :'(

with the dancing system of google, this always happen, but they will come back gain in the next update or two.

My site keeps going up and down too. As long that it comes back up i'm not bothered.

new website, easier to ranked higher. once u not updating is for some weeks, it will slide down to no where. as i seen on my previous website.

ok, i would suggest you to periodically adding/change site text/content. this will help. and most importantly, get some promotion done. forum is a good place to get help.

I suggest you wait a while before you consider your website out. Remember google is at a party these days dancing some good sites down the ladder for no reason and advancing some bad ones for no reason yet again.

I find that it is usually my lack of relevant backlinks that makes my sites slide back and forth in google. I really don't let it bother me too much since i have other ways that i like to use to drive "targeted" traffic to my site.

Well it is quite simple if you want to stay there at the top you need to work hard building links from time to time even when you are #1 if not the same will happen.

did you send out any referall spam when you started the site?
