Best CMS for SEO Purposes?

Hi everyone,

I'm a starter in web development and I usually develop websites by utilizing CMS (the sites are heavily dependent on content). This is also due to my low budget as a student.

I created my newest site by using Joomla, and I wanted to optimize it for SEO, using the free components and add-ons available.

Now, on the verge of starting another web site, I want to ask what, according to your opinion and experience, is the best CMS for SEO purposes. "The best CMS" that I mean here is CMS that has good add-ons (preferably the cheap/free ones) for SEO.

And, do you think Joomla is good in this?

Thank you very much for your response and attention.

PS: I've used the search feature and found no thread about this. However, please notify me if you know it's not true.

If you are talking about static pages for a content only website without the frills, i prefer using etomite for building my pages

Yes, that's exactly what I meant. I've just read about etomite from another forum too. Thanks for your recommendation, I'm checking etomite out now.

Any other opinion?

Joomla has plugins for seo, wordpress is ok for blogs and Drupal has static-looking links...

Thanks, I'll try Drupal.

I'm still open for any other suggestions if there are any.

Dragonfly CMS is good for SEO as well.
They can create static looking URLs.

For SEO purposes I think it is best to embed a CMS within your website design as opposed to trying to design your website in the CMS. This way it is easy to manage but you still have complete control.

I am a hypocrite as my latest website is in DNN (Dot Net Nuke).
