Submit what? And where? Personally I prefer manual submissions that allow me to change the anchor texts in the links and make them look more "natural". It's more work, but it is worthed. I don't submit to search engines.

Automatic submission cannot be compared to manual submission.Automatic submission is for those who do not have enough time to do submission.Manual submission is far better than the automatic submission.

I have submitted my site 50 times for 10 straight days to MSN and nothing ever bad happened to my site. I also auto submit my sites every 3 months for the last 2 years and nothing bad ever happened.
Saying its bad or something negative will happen is not true. I see ALOT of people say this, and i dont know why.
ALL submitting your site to search engines does is give your url to a POOL of urls that will be crawled by the spiders and robots of that particular engine. Thats it. REGARDLESS of if its manual or auto.
Dont you think that once you ad your url to the search engine its smart enough to see if you added your url already.
Seriously if you think theres a difference you need help.
Why is this still an issue?

I',m just affraid that several times submit to SE is look like spam activity or not ,Is some SE banned the url or not.
Let summarize that the best solution for submission is first of all using auto submit and then follow manual submit in afterward for major SE and then smaller SE respectively.

Why would you get banned for spamming? If Your not spamming anything! Think about it logically, it doesnt make any sense.
Regardless if you add or submit your website 1000 times manually or automatically, your wasting your time, as it only needs to be done once per url. Doing it more will have no effect, positive or negative. Search engines arent dumb, but they dont penalize you for submitting your url to them, thats just silly.
Like i said before, all your doing when you submit your url to the search engines, is giving the robots a url to crawl by entering it into a POOL of urls. Once you give them a url to crawl, they will crawl it and when they are finished crawling it im sure the url gets removed off the list.
They should be able to recognize if a url was already submitted, and if the url was already submitted but not crawled, it is most likely ignored and not added to the list a 2nd time, but only added to the list again after it has been crawled and removed from the list or POOL for being crawled.
Thats my story and im sticking to it. Ive seen no proof to say the contrary.
But if you want to know for sure, do some testing and find out.

repeat submission to SE: yes
repeat submission to directory: no
however, u only need to submit it once. no advantage to resubmit.

IMO manual submission is much better than automatic submission...automatic submission is fast but you can't do some changes like with your anchor text which can help you on targeting such keywords to rank as well as the others...

Plus with manual submission, you actually know your sites are being submitted, cause your doing it. Better than relying on software.

I would recommend you manually submit unless you don't have much time.

Includes:
* Submission to thousands of search engines, directories and links pages.
* Manual submission to major search engines, including Yahoo and Google.
* Free site review and ranking advice before submission.
* A detailed submission report will be e-mailed to you.
* Discount for re-submissions or multiple Websites.
Submit express is stealing people's money....you don't need to submit your site, all you need is 1 good link and you will be indexed. What are the thousands of search engines that they are talking about? you only need to worry about the big 3.5, Google, Yahoo, MSN and ask. most of the sites that they are going to submit you to are Free for All links sites and pages that do not help your serp rankings at all.

100% agree.
Many SE (including Google) and directories implemented Security Image (CAPTCHA) to their submission forms. You may pay you money for nothing, if you use auto submissions.

Submitting to Google / Yahoo / MSN is a waste of the 2 minutes it takes to do.
To get your site indexed in the big 3, you need to get links to your site, which you need to do anyway.
So instead of submitting to search engines, just go build some links.
But if it's really important to you, you can do automatic or manual submissions. I'd rather worry about getting good links to the site though. If search engines are a bit slow at indexing my site, I don't care because the good links will win in the long term.
