Running down the street naked will get you noticed, but it won’t accomplish much. It’s easy to pull off a stunt, but not useful.

Good point there. I see a lot of folks losing credibility by pulling link baiting stunts, like attacking other people without grounds, and it may get them some linkage and get them noticed, but it's still losing them their credibility.

Would Bill Gates have sold his operating system to corporates if he had ran around naked? Maybe. More likely, his credibility may have suffered with those customers
