Can a domain/site rank for specific word no.1 on google even if it does not have that word/keyword in its domain name.

Example. Site sbclansite.com ever rank no.1 for term "free image hosting " ?? on google.

Yes ofcourse there are millions of sites out there which dont have any keyword in their domain but still rank no.1

If you're shooting to be ranked in the top 3 for " free image hosting " its going to take a hell of a lot of backlinks. Thats some tough comp.

But say you're trying to get ranked #1 for your name. And your name is Brian Beddor - you could be #1 with very little effort. The amount of backlinks you need depends on your competition.

How many backlinks does your competitor have ?

The system makes users wait 24 hours after they reach 51 links, before it post your sig. The suspense for that sig to appear is killer eh ?

About the positioning, Yes I do think it would be hard to beat. Anything is possible though. I'm now reaching new positions in the SERPS, that in the past, a couple years ago I thought would be impossible. You can do some amazing things if you stay at for a long time and don't give up.

apple.com dont have have word computer.
try type computer in google. apple.com will come out in page 1. as following...

yes it can! and shows the importance of anchor text of links.

classic example is to type click here in google and see who comes up #1

Just checked today after few weeks gap and it shows its ranking now #38 for free image hosting term.
