2. submit to major search engine
3. submit it to web directories
4. forum posting with your signature
5. blogging, tag
6. blog submission and feeds
7. article submission
8. press releases
9. social network and bookmarking

email those related links to your page. exchange links with them... free submit to directories with high PR, post on forums use your sigs, free promotional ads.....

here are a few methods to get some backlinks,
1) forum posting, and use signature! there are a lot of forums but then target some that belong to your niche! but this i don't do this myself!

2) article submission, write an article and include your link in it, then submit to a few article submission sites, and you will have some backlink which are targeted to your site's content as they are coming from your article.

3) directory submission, try some free directory submission, or go for some of the best paid directories, starting from, yahoo, v7n, alive and aviva etc!!

4) get a few blog posts, exchange links, buy links etc!!

A) submit to relevant directories (this is also part of google's advice)

B) make your site so useful that visitors will link to it upon finding it.

ensure that your marketing techniques don't clash with any of the webmaster guidelines by major search engines

site directory submission, forums, blogs, article submission, improve your site contents for link baiting purposes, social bookmarkings, link exchange with related, trusted, quality sites....
