Peter D from this forum should be onthe list as well. The fact that Matt Cutts is listed as an seo shows that this is for entertainment value only. Brett Tabke also IMO doesn´t belong on there at all, even though he owns one of the first seo forums.

Shoemoney whilst disliking SEO's is the link-bait King and I've not resolved the link-bait / SEO thing enough to decide...

He really isn't a bottom feeder, he is a Google employee and a high profile one. Not the type that comes up with concepts like the Google owners did, but still a guy with skills and not afraid to use them. He is who he is, and yes, the seo world and the bottom feeders amongst the seo world have blown his popularity out of proportion.

No need to call him names. But the fact that Rand mentions him as an SEO pretty much says a lot about Rand's approach to facts vs. his same old tactic of making a name for himself namedropping.

Who are the top ten SEOs?

I don't want to get into that, but I will say that one time I learned there was a black hat conference/drinking session in Manchester featuring known guys such as Dave Naylor and Earl Grey - but the only forum telling the location was members-only, with a long waiting list and I'd been waiting two weeks already, and the conference was starting the next day. I knew it was taking place within about 20 mins walk away from where I live, so you can imagine I really wanted to go along. So what to do?

I ended up emailing Rand Fishkin out of the blue, I had no prior contact with him before then. Within about two hours he'd got onto Earl Grey, who got back to me with an invite to the conference. So whatever else I think, I know Rand is a true gent, who took time out of his busy day to help me out.

That's all I have to say on the matter. Mr John Scott is a good SEO of course, goes without saying.
