does article submission really attracts large traffic on your site? coz its not working on my part... could you give me tips on this? i mean how will i be able to make an article that would drive readers to click on my link and visit my site? coz i really need that... right now, for me, article submission serves only as 'to increase my inbound links'.

Article distribution helps with SEO I think. Its not specifically designed to get immediate click throughs I think.
Isn't it true that you can't post links on Craigslist?

Write an unique article and put your site keywords in it and set your sites link in it.

Depends on your topic, you can lure traffic if your article has a good content. For example, your topic is about SEO or something that gives interest to others. Then put a link in your article content or in your resource box, stating that you used that link as your "reference" in building that article. That may lure traffic to your site.

You can post links on Craigslist, just use an anchor tag with your keyword in it.

I have to agree on this... IMO, article submission is designed more on SEO or link building aspect... with regards to traffic? yeah maybe a little... but more on inbound links thinggy...

most article submission sites I encountered DO NOT allow article writers to put a link on the article body itself. it might be one of their grounds to reject your article because its more of a press release (advertising one's site) than an article.
also, people nowadays, don't just click links on the resource box. i mean, most people... doesn't even care to read the information about the author. or if they do, they don't click on links.. maybe this is a case to case basis.... but mostly, people do article submission for inbound links' sake

Yep, There are limitations on putting your own link in the body section of your article.
As for the resource box, it still depends on the interest of the reader if they have the option, sometimes if you have a site with more popular searches in SEs, it may get the critics attention by just looking in the link. Link baiting is one of the best options that you can do about it.
