i been considering this case before as well.
well, concluded that more links is better.
everypage of links to your site, yes, it does count, when the page is crawled.

okay great
hehe, well its 6,000 pages that my link is going to be on, the main site is a pr5 which is not the best, but I am in position 151 for custom website design in google, and try to figure something out to get it to number 1, maybe this will give me a boost, who knows.

hopefully so
lol hopefully so i got 6,000 pages getting ready to link my link, and I'm not sure if this gets counted as 6,000 backlinks, but I'm about to find out, I been paying out money I don't have for links, but hopefully it bring me some business, if not I'll learn and keep going.

I hope not. Now a days, search engines are smarter enough to detect site wide links. They have algorithms which are able to make a difference a normal link and site wide link. Mostly site wide links are template driven. So it is possible for them to distinguish between a fixed and variable content part. It ignores the links present in the fixed part.

What about the site that is linking to you? If your site is not related to theirs, can it hurt their own rankings if they have similar agreements with several different smaller sites? This is always something I've wondered about...
